I am one of those fellows that calls the scriptures as 'they are' - but I am sure this athiest like many others would disagree with my perspective (and all I can say is 'show me a better context than I give' - they usually can't). I take offense at Dawkins and Harris for the blatant obvious (and so should all others) - they blame religion for all evils that ever existed...how can this be more bogus? I am not saying this faith hasn't caused a fair share of problems ( it has) - but were those same abuses sanctioned by Jesus' teachings? If not, then the religion has another Jesus in their thoughts - not the one in the gospels (who taught 'love your enemies'). If so, let's call what we know - the past was wrong on their interpretation - wouldn't be the 1st time.
