Book Shopping

I always buy a lot of books at this time of the year.  Tomorrow we’re heading for Grand Rapids where I’ll buy a few dozen more.  Below are spine pics of some that I bought this week.

I picked these up one night at a thrift store and at Chapters in the discount section:

I picked up the ones in the next few pics in various shops in London:

These next few are ones I already have, so these will be to give away:

The way I see it, you have approximately 1 year (at my rate) to read these. Hey could you write a coles notes on these books for me? Great! I expect them by 2010.

Book envy is creeping in… I read the Rudy Wiebe book a couple of years ago, and enjoyed another one my brother passed on to me, ‘Peace Shall Destroy Many’. Great author. I noticed the Koran – did you pick up Thomas Froese’s ’99 Windows’? He offers fascinating snippets on life in the Mid East from his years in Yemen. Another good read:). Happy shopping in Grand Rapids!

Yeah no problem. I have been reading A LOT lately. Finished a Romans commentary, Good to Great, and expect to finish The Shack and “Jesus Wants to Save Christians” this week.

Hopefully I’ll take a little time after that to blog/make Coles notes for you… you lazy little man! ;-)

Yes, we did pick up Froese’s book. Anne Marie will probably read it… I can never get into books that are collections of articles.

I still have your copy of Merton’s NO MAN IS AN ISLAND
