Books in Grand Rapids (Day 2)

Ok, I’m done now… I told Anne Marie not to let me go out again.

Here’s the academic stack:

…and the other stack. You’ll notice I out the Bell and Pagitt books between some more solid theological works.  I tried to put them closer to MacArthur but there were sparks.

By the way, we’re going Rob Bell’s church (Mars Hill) tomorrow morning. I’ll put up a post about that sometime next week.

Have fun at Rob Bells church! Still haven’t made it to the Seattle Mars Hill…but I will!

Congrats on enduring the West Michigan cold (and ice). And I hope you enjoyed Mars Hill this morning!

But on the topic of books, did you make it to the Eerdmans book store? It is by far my absolute favorite book store in the world.

Hellen, let me know before you go. I have a friend I’d like you to meet there.

    Jim,

We get about the same weather here in Ontario, so it’s no big deal.
I realized while looking through some of my purchases that Eerdmans must be in GR too… but I was way over my limit already so I’ll have to go next time.

What’s the address of the Eerdmans? I’ll plot it out for next time.

I think I’d like to borrow “Exegetical Fallacies” from you once you’re done. I like books that help increase my understanding of Scripture by sending me back to Scripture. That seems like a book that’ll do that for me. And also “the Spirit of Revival” looks interesting to me.

Yeah, I’m keyed in on “Exegetical Fallacies” as well. Only true Theologeeks could gt excited about a book like that.

I’ll bring you “The Spirit of Revival” tomorrow.

Now how are you going to read ALL OF THOSE in a timely manner?!?!?!
